went for a great big bike ride today. The sun was shining (mostly) and I need to get in practice for the Mobberley 8 that's on good friday. ( a bike ride round lots of pubs!)
It went pretty well, and we cycled along the side of a river that runs near us. There was a great incentive as we were cycling to a pub to have lunch. I really pushed myself on the first half of the journey and we cycled for quite a distance.
the pub was lovely, got to sit in the garden and drink a pint while we ate tasty ham sandwiches (despite loads of roaming dogs and screaming children)
On the way back I was done in. It felt like there was no juice left in my system. I made it back fine, and in terms of stamina, I'm really impressed with myself.
the bike crawl is going to be tough and my bum is quite sore now, but I'm feeling less worried about my ability to 'make it'
